Joyful little hummer the song they sing so sweet. I think that is why most times you find me laughing or making others laugh, to joy my own heart.

Yes, sometimes I cast light with my words but more often it comes from my pen. I have learned many a thing from the bird. Mainly that you have to be careful of always answering someone with what your mind knows is right. For more often it is a fragile heart held in the balance.

As the laughter provides me a happiness it also is my shelter. I use it as defense to heal. I hide behind it to stave off the tears that may be just brimming under the surface.

Don't talk to me of love for the Hummer and I are still wrestling over this one. Yes I have loved is all I will say. Don't cage a hummingbird they quickly wither and die that way.

Will I endure what God hath handed me of this life? Yes with the hummer by my side for guidance you bet I will. I still believe God only gives you what he knows you can handle.

Oblivious of my affections
